I WANT TO STEP BACK for a moment to welcome you sincerely to this rather unusual chronicle.
If you are reading this, I invited you, because you are part of my dear immediate and extended family, a personal or professional friend, a member of my outstanding medical team, or a fellow patient. Tallying up that list has made me feel very fortunate indeed.
My health situation is not a secret, but this blog is private and even hidden from search engines. I do this because I feel a need to separate my business persona and online reputation from this very personal story, which I feel would become a distraction. No social media posts or links for Jamie’s Journal, please! Keep it here and your comments will stay here only too.
I am deeply grateful for the words of support and genuine interest so many of you have already expressed. Jamie’s Journal is a gift back to you all as well as a kind of therapy for me.

Two Ways to Read
There are two ways to navigate this blog: (1) New posts are added to the the top as they are published. You may just read them as they appear and you are notified. (2) To read chronologically from the beginning. Click here or on my face in the right column. Then use the navigation links below each post to page forward or back.
There are some other “Tips for My Dear Followers” in the box on the lower right.

We are thinking of you throughout the process, Jamie. Would you like some books to read? If so, do you want hard copies or kindle/ipad books?
Alan
Hi Jamie,
Thanks for the update. I like understanding it all, and when our parents play “telephone” I never seem to get the whole story straight.
As I watch my mom never ceasing to battle (another good cat scan today), and never letting it affect her outlook, I’ll continue to believe that attitude and optimism play a role–a big role.
We’re all behind you–good luck and keep us posted!
